In this section, I’ll guide you through creating your first digital product—a free opt-in lead magnet that will motivate your followers to sign up for your email newsletter.

NOTE: In these video course, I used MailChimp for my email marketing strategy, but ConvertKit (KIT) has emerged as one of the most affordable ways to build a list and monetize it. MailChimp is nearly double the cost and doesn’t have nearly all the features that Kit is now able to offer, including payment integrations with your own digital products. So as you’re considering building your email list, I encourage you to build it in Kit, but watch my video to apply my MailChimp techniques to your system as Kit will do everything MailChimp can do so the principles apply, but the actual way you do it will only slightly differ with Kit. The key here is to provide something highly valuable and relevant to your target audience that makes them eager to join your list. Whether it’s a guide, checklist, or resource tailored to their needs, this free offer should position you as an authority in your niche and build trust from the start.

Once you’ve started growing your email list, the next step is to consistently deliver value through weekly emails. Each email should offer helpful content that ties into your blog topics and promotes affiliate products or other offers that align with your audience’s interests. By integrating affiliate links and promotions naturally within your emails, you can drive traffic back to your blog while introducing products or services that are genuinely beneficial to your subscribers.

This strategy not only keeps your audience engaged but also helps you build lasting relationships, which is key to long-term success. As your readers begin to trust your recommendations, your email list will become a powerful tool for generating affiliate income. Over time, this approach will create a seamless flow between the value-packed content you share and the products or services you promote, allowing you to steadily grow both your list and your income while deepening your connection with your audience.
